How you will make history here...

The Quality Engineer is a Technical Service position that focuses on loss areas of opportunity – driven by consumer dissatisfaction or financial losses delivering enablers and improved consumer experience.  The role will be responsible for assessing standards for Critical to Process parameters, identifying areas of variation and developing action plans to address variation and drive consistency of product design on Critical to Quality parameters.  This role will focus on improving compliance and driving problem solving in the identified loss area with a systematic approach.  This position designs, leads and executes projects of various scale.  These projects may be geared toward food safety, quality, productivity or other areas of need.

What you will do...

40% - Data analysis and insights to drive clear action and priority for project work.

    • Designs data collection plans and leads analysis of output

    • Process capability studies through mini tab

    • Leads root cause analysis across functional groups to drive clear prioritites and actions

    • Develops and manages data sets to ensure progress against project goals

    • Partners with IT to ensure data accessibility and integration into business process for sustainability of outcomes

    • Identifies and aligns new analytical tools to drive quantitative analysis of critical parameters

    • Develops quality testing methods as required to support identified CTPs

 

40% - Active project management of cross functional resources to drive enabler targets and consumer experience improvements.  Ensures full transparency and contingency plans are built collaboratively with Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D partners.

    • Designs, schedules and leads the execution of cross functional projects

    • Sets and manages governance process for projects with key stakeholders

    • Coordinates capital project planning requirements as needed

    • Develops focus areas and implementation plans for SPC integration for identified process parameters

    • Build standard work, foundational and practical training content as required

    • May perform other duties as required and ability to flow to the required work

 

20% - Develops and implements effective communication plans to keep project teams, stakeholders and cross functional leadership well-informed regarding project progress and support needed

 

Who you will work with...

What you will bring to the table... (Must Have)

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years of process development, process engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, or Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, HACCP guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), etc.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • 75% travel

 

It would be great if you have... (Nice to Have)

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, comparable technical degree

  • 6+ years of process development, process engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, or Quality experience in a Food manufacturing environment

  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification

  • SAP experience

  • Minitab or statistical analysis experience 

 
 


Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$90,100-$129,500

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
