Sr Manager, Sales Finance - East

HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As the Senior Manager, Sales Finance, you will serve as a strategic finance leader for Campbell’s Snacks South Region, partnering directly with Sales leadership to drive profitable growth, optimize investments, and deliver financial stewardship across a significant customer portfolio. You will influence key business decisions, provide thought leadership to cross-functional teams, and lead financial planning and performance management for a region representing approximately $350 million in net sales, $75 million in annual trade spend, and $1 billion in DSD gross sales execution.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

  • Act as the primary finance business partner to the VP of Sales, South Region, and regional sales leadership team.
  • Provide financial leadership and strategic direction to sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead monthly forecasting processes, including volume and trade spending projections, while identifying business risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and manage Annual Operating Plans (AOPs) and long-range strategic plans.
  • Own regional P&L reporting, performance analysis, and insights generation against plan, forecast, prior year, and divisional expectations.
  • Analyze business performance and retail execution to drive profitable sales growth and margin improvement.
  • Evaluate pricing, merchandising, promotional, and investment opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure effective trade spend management, maintaining compliance with approved spending parameters and category guidelines.
  • Oversee resource allocation and budget management to maximize business performance.
  • Ensure strong fiduciary controls, trade policy compliance, deduction management, and financial governance.
  • Serve as a change champion supporting finance transformation initiatives, sales effectiveness projects, and enterprise-wide programs.
  • Lead and develop a team of Sales Finance professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and performance leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience.
  • Strong financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytical expertise.
  • Experience managing P&Ls and providing strategic financial support to commercial organizations.
  • Ability to translate complex analyses into business insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Experience partnering with sales organizations and navigating complex business environments.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Experience driving financial discipline and accountability among non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.

 

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)

  • MBA or other advanced business degree.
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), retail, grocery, or sales finance experience.
  • Experience supporting trade promotion management and customer investment strategies.
  • Knowledge of direct-store-delivery (DSD) business models and route-to-market strategies.
  • Experience leading finance transformation, process improvement, or change management initiatives.
  • Experience working with large national retailers and complex customer negotiations.
  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities with experience evaluating innovation and commercialization initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively lead through ambiguity and organizational change.

 

WORK LOCATION & TRAVEL

  • Hybrid work arrangement based in Camden, NJ, with an expectation to work from headquarters three days per week.
  • Travel up to 10-15% as required for customer meetings, company events, training programs, and business initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$141,500-$194,600

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
