Responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound activities, to include gate monitoring, inbound/outbound appointment scheduling, dock assignment, inbound/outbound paperwork confirmation, and dispatch of completed orders. Also, for allocating orders, releasing work to warehouse floor, balancing workflow, proactively identifying and resolving barriers to efficient and effective workflow, ensuring inbound and outbound truck turn times are within acceptable levels, communicating order status to other stakeholders, and collaborating with other stakeholders to meet shift-level service goals. Follows standard work and established procedures for warehouse activities
What you will do…
Release work to the Inbound and Outbound work queue in a manner that ensures high levels of interleaving, productivity, and carrier turn time.
• Plan and allocate work queue for inbound unloading, staging and put away; outbound picking, staging and loading manifest, and internal replenishment activities.
• Understand order product shortages once orders are dropped to the WMS from planning.
• Manage order cuts in accordance with cut policy, communicate to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Team Lead to prioritize Material Handler tasks.
• Ensure utilization of inbound and outbound dock optimization functionality.
• Generate and utilize system reports and audit sheets to evaluate the shift progress.
• Run LMS reports, review with Supervisors and Managers, identify opportunity areas, and refinement actions.
• Work closely with operations to identify and eliminate overages, shorts and damages.
• Communicate with appropriate team members to overcome system-related barriers in a timely manner.
• Ensure complete communication for turn of shift.
• Recommend work zone assignment improvements to Inventory Management.
• Be aware of product code velocity zone assignments, help assure product code management.
• Recommend optimal static and dynamic pick locations to Inventory Management.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and safety programs.
• Continually evaluate effectiveness of systems and recommend changes where appropriate.
• Follow attendance policy, show up for work on time and ready to work assigned shift.
• Monitor the gate and check in all inbound activity.
• Confirm valid appointments and complete inbound paperwork.
• Assign dock door to minimize travel for loaders.
• Review outbound paperwork upon completion of outbound load prior to dispatch.
• Audit inbound/outbound paperwork for completion and accuracy.
• Communicate and schedule deliveries and shipments to 3rd party warehouses.
• Partners with internal and external customers to ensure on-time delivery and communicates issues that arise.
• Assist in scheduling inbound and outbound delivery appointments through information systems, email and phone.
• Prioritize inbound unloading to minimize shortages on orders and achieve Fill rate goals.
• Support department KPI's
• Ensure outbound shipments are properly dispatched on departure and proper filing of paperwork.
• Responsible for daily filing and storage of paperwork to meet company and external customer policies.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required

What you will bring to the table… (Must Have)
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year of warehousing experience in similar role. Experience with WMS/LMS systems (JDA/Red Prairie preferred); proficiency in using Microsoft Office Excel

• Strong analytical skills, ability to dissect data, identify trends, errors, and impact of inventory and operational activity; and communicate value-added analysis and proposed actions.

• Ability to type and enter data via personal computers
