The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of manufacturing assets, facility buildings and grounds as well as auxiliary and infrastructure support systems and parts/tools/supplies inventories. This position requires the use of electrical and mechanical technical skills to lead and develop a technical maintenance and repair workforce.
What you will do...
• Manages and leads the maintenance and project management of equipment, machinery, facilities, and systems. Coordinates activities between departments; ensures established costs, safety, and delivery (downtime) commitments are met.
• Manages and/or initiates the preparation of project proposals and manages to completion. Monitors and evaluates project execution; establishes priorities and sequences. Ensures achievement of project goals.
• Manages the development of, and monitoring of, the capital and maintenance budgets including expenses and labor.
• Oversees the use and improvement of the preventative maintenance (PM) program and operational assessment.
• Controls costs. Reviews costs; analyzes records and reports; modifies maintenance and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations. Recommends budgets to management.
• Manages safe work practices with team members and observes safe work practices. Interprets company safety policies, procedures, and regulations; familiarizes team members. Ensures a safe working environment.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists team members in solving work problems. Troubleshoots unusual or difficult issues requiring coordination and communication across cross-functional departments; follows through with process improvement by utilizing available resources.
• Develops, trains, coaches and/or mentors direct reports and team members. Familiarizes team with established policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Provides technical guidance. Interprets and ensures consistent application of company policies.
• Oversees the preparation and distribution of reports for regulatory compliance, preventative maintenance audit results, work order completion ratios, etc. Communicates issues and leads problem solving initiatives.
• Leads and/or guides continuous improvement in established processes
• Interacts and confers with leadership members within organization to include Manufacturing, R&D (research and development), Quality, Safety, and other operational facilities and departments. Attends performance review and planning meetings.
• Interactions with teams; assists in grievance resolution; oversees operation and leadership training; engages in employee relations.
• Attends daily shift turnover meetings, reinforcing established protocols, processes and expectations at the meetings daily. Influences and reinforces proper shift reporting and communication.
• Works with Reliability Engineering to gather data and present this data in chart form to influence team decision-making and behavior.
• Ensures acceptable quantity and quality of work is completed by the maintenance and repair teams
• Conducts root-cause investigations that identify countermeasures to prohibit future reoccurrences. Logs countermeasures and completes countermeasures to prohibit reoccurrence.
• Leads by example by exhibiting company values
• Improves the technical competence of their workforce by requiring completion of the technical competency program and the relevant training material and training sessions.
• Instills ownership within each individual on their team by assigning an area of responsibility and checks on the level of ownership being exhibited by each team member
• Keeps areas of responsibility in order using 5S principles
• Attends various operational meetings to ensure proper support and partnership are provided to operations leadership
• Ensure manufacturing support is provided at manufacturing processes when needed, such as manufacturing process start-ups.
• Utilizes the CMMS to gather information and track via KPI scorecard and trend charts
• May perform other duties as required.

What you will bring to the table... (Must Have)
- HS Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of Maintenance experience and/with 3+ years of Supervisory/Lead experience within manufacturing
- Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing machinery/equipment
It would be great if you have... (Nice to Have)
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree
- 7+ years of Maintenance experience within Food Manufacturing
