How you will make history here...
This position supports Global Procurement in the purchase of approximately $6 billion of Campbell's direct material and indirect annual spending.  The primary responsibilities of this position are the accurate and timely management of direct material purchase price variance (PPV) and inflation for the Meals & Beverage and Snacks Divisions.  Responsibilities include reviewing, analyzing, and collaborating with buyers on monthly PPV and projections, as well as developing annual strategic and operating plans using SAP, Envision, Excel & Power BI.


This highly visible role requires providing analytical support for a wide range of strategic sourcing initiatives, monthly performance results, and monitoring and reporting directives related to the procurement of ingredient, packaging and indirect requirements. Additionally, the position is responsible for Total Procurement Value (TPV) project review and approval, vendor rebate management, and enabler analysis and actualization.


The individual will develop, organize, and implement assigned Supply Chain Finance activities designed to support business strategies and serve as a subject matter expert in support of supply chain and corporate functional teams.  This position also supports the monthly closing process. 
The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively within the supply chain matrix and across multiple geographies and divisions.  The role will include direct reports, with the opportunity to grow the team. The candidate will be present to senior executives and is expected to partner with operations, finance, and plant/brand/sales management.   


What you will do...
30% - Analysis and Insights
Provide variance analysis of PPV and inflation at the Division/BU/PC level, working with Buyers to explain fluctuations.  Seek to resolve variances with appropriate resources. 
20% - PPV and Inflation Activities 
Support monthly projections, strategic plans, and operating plans. Own the EPM Procurement database tool used for analysis and reporting of inflation for Campbell's Meals & Beverage and Snacks. 
20% - Reporting
Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting for procurement PPV and inflation results for Meals & Beverage and Snacks Supply Chain.  Actively participate in the monthly Supply Chain forecast reviews.                 
10% - Projection Process Support
Support the development of the monthly Supply Chain projection process and R&O (Risks and Opportunities) management. 
10% - Cost Savings Program
Support Campbell's Global Cost Savings Program, including ad hoc project support (e.g., quantification of savings and project justification). Establish tools to track savings, ensure cross functional visibility, and provide quarterly reporting to Corporate Controllers office and Investor Relations for external reporting. 
10% - Additional Support and Analysis
Provide support and analysis for other Supply Chain projects and opportunities. Participate in monthly closing activities, including vendor rebates and other items. Provide back-up to Supply Chain Finance corporate accounting as needed.


•    Ability to interpret complex data and present it in a meaningful format for management review.
•    Analyze and generate cost optimization recommendations across all aspects of supply chain activity, including inventory prebuilds, contract negotiations, working capital carrying cost, yields, logistics, and more.
•    Developing AOP and projection financial overlays requires reconciliation between WHQ and plant-level assumptions. This position must remain well-connected to activities at both WHQ and the plants.
•    Demonstrates strong business acumen and ability to communicate business knowledge effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
•    Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Timelines may be tight and require significant cross-functional coordination.
•    Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple business functions.
•    Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities and demonstrates intellectual curiosity.
•    Maintains a high level of competence and professionalism in a dynamic business environment.
•    Ensures adherence to financial processes in accordance with Campbell's standards and best practices.

What you will bring to the table... (Must Have)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of related finance experience,
  • Experience leading a team or managing direct reports 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency with SAP
  • Experience with EPM application is a plus

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration
  • 9+ years of related finance experience within an SAP manufacturing environment


Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$137,800-$198,100

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
