Reporting to the Quality Assurance & Sanitation Manager, the Sanitation & 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for the leadership, development, and continuous improvement of the site’s Sanitation, Internal Auditing, Pest Control, and Environmental Monitoring Programs. In addition, this role includes direct leadership responsibility for 2nd shift production operations (Normal schedule will be Tues-Sat 3pm-11pm. The employee must be flexible to support a 24/7 operation which includes regular weekend support, holidays and ability to flex to each shift to support business needs) Also, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and performance standards.
What you will do…
The Supervisor is accountable for all aspects of program and people management, with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Engagement, Training, and Performance of both the sanitation team and 2nd shift production personnel. This role ensures compliance with Campbell’s policies and regulatory requirements, while also driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across both functions.
30% - Oversees the scheduling and execution of all Master Sanitation Schedule activities in the facility including SSOP and SSW development and validation
15% - Oversee the facility environmental monitoring program, monitor closely for compliance and develop actions to address environmental issues in the facility
15% - Provide leadership and oversight of 2nd shift production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes, providing coaching and corrective action for employee relations issues and work with 2nd Shift Leaders on decision making and problem solving for 2nd shift production
15% - Selects, develops, and supervises the performance of the Sanitation team, which includes 9 associates and 1 Sanitation Coordinator.
5% - Leads weekly pre-operational inspection program
5% - Represent the Sanitation function and providing technical input to cross functional partners in Production, Quality & Maintenance
5% - Lead facility Integrated Pest Management program, work with contracted service provider to resolve potential risks and any pest issues-
10% - All Other Critical Responsibility areas
- Support Internal Auditing and continuous improvement of Food Safety prerequisite programs
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices in the facility and verify that regulatory (FDA, SQF and Kosher) requirements are being met
- Order and maintain inventory of facility operating supplies including sanitation chemicals, safety equipment, PPE, Janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment
- Respond to calls from the production lines to troubleshoot food safety or quality issues
- Participate in and lead, as needed, regulatory and 3rd party compliance audits including SQF, FDA and Ohio Department of Agriculture

What you will bring (required):
High school diploma or GED
2 + years’ experience leading and managing people in a manufacturing environment.
It would be great if you have (preferred):
- Bachelors degree in food science, biology or related field, and prior food industry sanitation experience preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in sanitation or food safety
- Interpersonal skills and leadership abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Promotes engagement, inclusion & diversity
- Food facility sanitation technical knowledge, skills and experience, preferred
- Experience in a food industry with an understanding of manufacturing processes, preferred
- Understanding of Sanitary Design for food manufacturing equipment, preferred
- Tactical knowledge and application of food safety principles (ex. Regulatory, PCQI, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, food microbiology), preferred
- COMPUTER SKILLS: Computer proficiency is preferred in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively, lead by example and coach others within a team-based high performing organization, leads by example and coach others within a team-based high performing organization.
