As an HR Generalist at our Willard operations facility, you will play a critical role in shaping a positive, inclusive, and high‑engagement workplace. By partnering closely with leaders and employees, you will help bring our people strategy to life—supporting day‑to‑day HR operations while ensuring compliance, consistency, and an exceptional employee experience.
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement and foster a positive, inclusive work environment across the facility. Proactively identify and resolve employee relations concerns.
Manage the internal job posting process for hourly positions and provide guidance to managers on salaried job postings.
Partner closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support the hiring of external hourly roles.
Coordinate exit interviews, feedback sessions, and all final-day procedures.
Respond to unemployment notices and claims, providing required documentation in a timely manner.
Serve as a first point of contact for employees seeking HR-related information, including policies, procedures, benefits, and employee services.
Lead the coordination of employee and community events, including employee appreciation initiatives.
Administer the full-cycle leave of absence process, including vendor coordination, HRIS reporting, benefit payment communications, return-to-work tracking, and termination documentation when applicable.
Coordinate and document monthly random drug and alcohol screenings.
Recommend and implement improvements to HR processes, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
Prepare and distribute HR-related communications as needed.
Conduct employee investigations as required.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH…
You will work closely with plant leadership, frontline employees, the Talent Acquisition team, and HR leadership, reporting directly to the HR Manager. This role partners cross-functionally to ensure alignment, compliance, and a strong employee experience across the facility.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Broad knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, and employment laws.
Strong employee relations skills with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to define problems, analyze data, and draw well-reasoned conclusions.
Self-motivated, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Comfort engaging regularly with employees on the production floor.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
Experience with Workday or another HRIS platform.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
PHR or SPHR certification.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
