Shift: 3rd Shift
Hourly Rate: $17.65 plus $0.50 shift differential

Starting times and hours may vary based on attendance coverage needs, production schedules, and holiday requirements. Mandatory overtime may be required.


HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE...

As a Packer, you will play an important role in delivering quality products to our customers by ensuring finished goods are accurately packed, inspected, labeled, and prepared for shipment. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and focus on quality will help keep production moving efficiently while maintaining our high standards.


WHAT YOU WILL DO...

  • Prepare cartons, trays, and displays for product packaging by folding, taping, sorting, labeling, and assembling packaging materials.
  • Conduct visual inspections of finished products and packaging to verify: Product integrity Proper bag registration Accurate code dates and pricing Proper seals on bags and cases
  • Remove out-of-specification products and communicate packaging concerns to the appropriate team members.
  • Pack products according to packaging specifications and ensure correct labels are applied to finished cases.
  • Tape and seal cartons as required.
  • Stack cartons and trays onto pallets using established stacking patterns.
  • Utilize pallet jacks and other material handling equipment when applicable.
  • Remove defective packaging materials and maintain a clean work area.
  • Assist with product rework activities as needed.
  • Follow all safety, food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces and comply with 5S standards.
  • Store packaging supplies in designated locations and keep aisles and exits clear.
  • Safely lift, carry, move, and dispose of materials and waste.
  • Perform sanitation activities, including equipment washes, seasoner cleanings, and wipe-downs.
  • Assist with equipment startup preparations and changeovers when applicable.
  • Operate tray-making and stapling equipment as required.
  • Report equipment, quality, or production issues to Machine Operators, Group Leaders, or Supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH...

You will work closely with Machine Operators, Group Leaders, Supervisors, Maintenance, Quality, and Production team members to support safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations.


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE... (MUST HAVE)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing, production, warehouse, packaging, or related industrial experience.
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuously stand and use hands throughout the shift.
  • Frequently walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Frequently push, pull, carry, and handle product and packaging materials.
  • Frequently perform overhead work and ladder climbing.
  • Ability to lift: Up to 10 lbs. continuously Up to 25 lbs. continuously Up to 50 lbs. occasionally Up to 100 lbs. seldom/never

Work Environment

  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequent exposure to wet or humid conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to elevated work areas, airborne particles, fumes, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Work environment is typically loud and may require hearing protection and other personal protective equipment.


IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE... (NICE TO HAVE)

  • Previous packaging or food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks or material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures.
  • Experience working with 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience supporting equipment startups, changeovers, or product rework activities.
  • Familiarity with automated packaging equipment and inspection processes.
