As a Part Time Steam Room Attendant, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and food-safe manufacturing environment by ensuring equipment, production areas, and facility spaces meet sanitation and hygiene standards. Your work directly supports product quality, employee safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence throughout the facility.
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
Perform sanitation of food processing equipment following established Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
Complete end-of-production, end-of-week, equipment changeover, facility sanitation, and master cleaning assignments.
Properly mix, dilute, and apply cleaning chemicals according to label instructions and company procedures.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and all food safety protocols.
Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures and complete all required safety and operational training.
Perform facility housekeeping and janitorial duties, including mopping, sweeping, and general cleaning.
Refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other facility supplies as needed.
Operate auto floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment throughout the facility.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in production and common areas.
Follow fall protection, aerial lift, and confined space procedures where required.
Report safety, sanitation, equipment, or facility concerns to leadership.
Support facility hygiene initiatives and special cleaning projects as assigned.
Perform additional duties and sanitation-related tasks assigned by the Plant Services Supervisor or PM Shift Lead.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Ability to speak, read, and understand English to safely and effectively perform job responsibilities.
Ability to follow SSOPs, GMPs, safety procedures, and sanitation protocols.
Willingness to complete and maintain required certifications and training, including:
Lockout/Tagout
Fall Protection
Aerial Lift Operation
Confined Space Safety
Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and follow dilution and mixing procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and quality.
Ability to perform physical work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating cleaning equipment.
Availability to work a consistent four-hour daily schedule, with core hours of 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM or an approved alternate schedule.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or food processing environment.
Food service, food handling, or sanitation experience.
Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment such as auto floor scrubbers.
Familiarity with food safety requirements and sanitation best practices.
Previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of GMPs and facility hygiene standards.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Pay: $20.25 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly
Schedule: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM, with flexibility for an alternative consistent four-hour daily schedule based on business needs.
