The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and managing planned work activities for Maintenance employees. This role schedules, tracks, and reviews all planned maintenance work within the department, including routine preventive maintenance and major plant turnaround events.
What you will do…
• Maintain a consistent tracking system for work orders.
• Maintains working knowledge of Purchase Order System and Requisition Procedures
• Investigates individual requests for manpower and material requirements
• This role will also be responsible to create, issue and schedule machine inspections, and pre-planned Maintenance work.

• Develop a practical procedure to ensure the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance systems
• Work closely with technicians, supervisors, and managers to establish a schedule of the proactive maintenance activities
• Monitor the spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts.
• Must be familiar with SAP our computerized maintenance management system
• Secures materials and special tools, and issues planned work for all non-emergency work requests received by the department.
• Reviews CMMIS data on a regular basis and solves, recommends, or refers problems of repetitive nature to the proper authority.
• Coordinates work from all sources so that all work is both planned and scheduled in advance, providing efficient use of man hours and ample time for review by supervision prior to the weekend.
• Recommends best-cost alternative on all planned work to Maintenance Manager, striving to fully utilize Maintenance personnel.
• Investigates individual requests for manpower and material requirements.
• Works with vendors as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
• Follow all personal safety, food safety, product quality, and productivity policies.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with plant-defined GMPs and OSHA standards.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, quality issues, and job-related injuries promptly to management.
• Work independently while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Participate in required safety training, team development programs, and plant initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned; mandatory overtime may be required.

What you bring to the table… (Must Have)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 + years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience CMMS
It would be great to have… (Nice to Have)
- An Associate’s degree (A.A.) or completion of technical school is preferred.
