LOCATION: Downers Grove, Illinois
BASE RATE PER HOUR: $21.00 - $23.00
SHIFT: Night Shift - 12 hour - 2-2-3 Schedule (Work every other weekend)
HOURS: 5:45 PM until 6 AM.
Overtime and weekend work as needed. Starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage due to report-offs and the production schedule especially during holidays. Good attendance and punctuality required.
JOB SUMMARY:
Dough Prep & Handling :Set up and monitor dough divider, moulder, and flour systems. Adjust cut-weights, straighten dough in pans, and remove defects. Feed pans and dough; lift up to 20 lbs.
Slicing & Bagging: Operate slicers, wrappers, and Kwik-lok machines. Monitor bread quality, slice count, and packaging clarity. Conduct metal detector checks.
Packaging & Coding: Set up coding machines, autocasers, and tape equipment. Ensure correct wrap and labeling. Record checkweigher and metal detector data.
Material Handling: Organize and supply packaging materials using forklift/pallet jack. Position flour bins (up to 600 lbs) and fill sifters.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform basic maintenance (blade changes, lubrication). Report equipment issues and write work notifications. Assist with preventive maintenance.
General Support: Clean work areas, assist other line roles, and follow all safety, GMP, HACCP, CTS, and SQF protocols.
Compensation and Benefits:
The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $21.00.
