How you will make history here...

HR Generalist role is responsible for developing and managing Human Resources activities to support a high-performance organization at the Dixon, CA and Stockton, CA manufacturing facilities within the Americas Supply Chain Unit. Functions supported by this role may include, but are not limited to, Talent Management (succession planning/ performance management), Improving Manager Quality, Organizational Design, Training & Development, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Engagement, Implementation of Change Management programs/ initiatives, Staffing, Legal and Compliance (i.e. Affirmative Action), Employee Safety and Wellness, Communications and administering of Compensation and Benefits programs. The position requires a competent, experienced, self-motivated individual; organized and possessing excellent time management skills.

What you will do...

  • Lead and assist various HR activities for the Dixon and Stockton plants such as, priority and objective setting, diversity initiatives, regulatory program compliance, achievement of key HR objectives & metrics, etc.
  • Provide generalist support to approximately a 380-person client base on performance management, recruiting, continuing implementation and growth of high-performance teams, employee relations, labor relations, functional leader coach, mentoring, etc.
  • Actively leads employee investigations/progressive discipline process and coach’s management on consistent application of plant policies and practices. Review and approve employee disciplinary actions, such as written reprimands, suspensions, or terminations. 
  • Monitor company or workforce adherence to labor agreements, mediate discussions between employer and employee representatives in attempt to reconcile differences, and schedule or coordinate the details of grievance hearings or other meetings.
  • Manages compliance programs for the site, such as developing and executing AAP plans. 
  • Analyze organizational needs to define gaps and then plans, develops and drive organizational design and development initiatives. This includes executing and implementing High Performance Organization plan by engaging the workforce through work teams and intrinsic rewards.
  • Facilitate classes and seminars, including diversity, new hire orientation, safety, objective setting process, benefits & compensation, engagement survey action planning, High Performance Coaching, etc. 
  • Coordinates recruiting/staffing efforts; sources candidates, phone screens candidates, set schedules, conducts interviews, and creates offers. 
  • Manage and develop the skillsets and career growth of the Dixon and Stockton Administrative assistants through training, coaching, and facilitation.
  • Other miscellaneous duties for the plant, including but not limited to: employee activities, all-associate meetings, recognition programs, plant communications, safety initiatives, etc.
  • Develop strategies, standards and tools from internal and external company sources to provide best in class HR solutions to the site.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs.  Must align plant projects/initiatives with Company goals to drive organizational alignment.
  • Advise and facilitate continuing development of plant culture towards high performance
  • Apply change management principles during roll out of HR programs/ messages to drive acceptance and engagement.
  • Support initiatives and facilitate processes to achieve an injury-free work environment.
  • Support benefit problem resolution- work with associates and provide phone numbers, websites or answers.  
  • Assist in design of individual development plans to help employees reach full potential.

What you bring to the table... (must have)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Human Resource Management or a related field or equivalent job experience. 
  • Master's in human resources or MBA preferred
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience within a manufacturing or supply chain environment or previous supervisory experience as a group/team lead with proven experience handling employee relations issues

It would be great if you have... (nice to have)

  • PHR or SPHR preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Previous labor relations experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with various levels and functions within the organization, listening, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills; ability to drive consensus.
  • Ability to interpret and adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; prior Workday, Kronos is preferred.
  • Leadership skills – Ability to build trust and credibility, provide direction, communicate and ensure alignment across all levels of leadership and key stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$67,700-$97,300

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
