Position: Distribution Material Handler
Pay: $22.50/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with possible overtime

HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As a Distribution Material Handler, you will play an important role in supporting warehouse operations by receiving, storing, picking, loading, and distributing products and point-of-sale (POS) materials. Your attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork will help ensure efficient operations and exceptional service throughout the supply chain.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

  • Load and unload palletized and non-palletized products and POS materials using manual and powered material handling equipment.
  • Sort and place products and materials into designated warehouse storage locations.
  • Accurately assemble customer orders, build pallets, wrap shipments, and prepare products for distribution.
  • Identify, count, and verify products and POS materials for redistribution while maintaining company standards.
  • Label incoming products with identifying information such as date codes, product descriptions, product codes, and case counts.
  • Label outgoing shipments with route numbers, bin locations, and pallet counts.
  • Verify quantities and condition of products and materials received.
  • Use handheld computers and warehouse technology in accordance with company operating guidelines.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse.
  • Prepare and organize warehouse areas for inventory counts and order fulfillment activities.
  • Complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance checklists and report defective equipment immediately.
  • Follow all safety, hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Participate in warehouse cleaning and sanitation activities according to established schedules.
  • Support a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ability to qualify for and maintain forklift operator certification.
  • DOT certification, where required by location.
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)

  • Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment.
  • Experience using handheld scanners, RF devices, or warehouse management systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse processes.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, food production, or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse sanitation, safety practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work Environment:
This role regularly works around moving mechanical equipment and may occasionally be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions. Noise levels are generally moderate. Employees should be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments and under changing warehouse conditions.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
