Job Title:      Distribution Assistant   

Pay Rate        $23.85

Job Description: 

With supervision from the Distribution Supervisor, the Distribution Assistant is responsible for running daily paperwork including Pick Sheets, Interplant Sheets, and all driver paperwork.  In addition, responsible for investigating SDA claims, and processing approvals/denials in a timely manner.  The Assistant will perform all daily SAP transactions that are necessary to ship product including the daily routing and plus ups. Will have daily correspondence with Sales Team. 

Job Functions:

Reconcile interplant order accuracy and receipts. 

Process all SDA Over, Short & Damage Claims.  Investigate and escalate any significant claims to Distribution Manager. 

Ensure daily paperwork is filled out and notify team leads and supervisor when errors are found. 

Print and separate Stack Tracker tickets as needed.  Administer tickets to shippers and aid with any technical issues. 

Perform all daily SAP transactions that are necessary to ship product. 

Enforce company policies and procedures. 

Ensure paperwork for drivers is completed in a timely manner. 

Track shipper errors and update log. 

Compile and submit interplant report daily to SEDC/DFW 

Daily Truck Routing 

Generate Daily Cut Report and send to Sales 

Assist with inventory as needed. 

Daily Cycle Counts 

Daily Order Auditing 

Posting Temp Time Sheets  

Pick Orders when short staffed 

Other Duties as Assigned by Supervisor or Leaders 

Qualifications:   

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team 

Represent a positive and professional image 

Excellent attendance and punctuality record 

Excellent planning, organizational and follow-through skills 

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, SAP 

Ability to prioritize and follow through on work assignments 

Note:  This position will be awarded to the employee who possesses the necessary experience. Consideration of past job history including SAP knowledge, Microsoft Office, performance, safety and attendance, will be a part of the evaluation process.  This will be an interviewed position.

Work Conditions: 

12 Hour shift, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Will receive 2 fifteen-minute breaks and one half hour break. Overtime is required on an as needed basis. Required to work Sunday's 

Environment – Noise levels will be minimal to moderate and temperature will be controlled. Lighting is sufficient.


Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
