Job Description

HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As a Assembler Tech, you will play an important role in producing safe, high-quality food products by ensuring ingredients and components are properly placed and handled throughout the manufacturing process. Your commitment to food safety, quality standards, and operational excellence will help deliver products that meet customer expectations while supporting efficient production operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

  • Place ingredients and product components accurately according to recipe and production specifications.

  • Inspect components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Handle ingredients and materials in accordance with USDA, HACCP, food safety, and plant recipe guidelines.

  • Ensure products conform to recipe specifications and proper ingredient placement requirements.

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety regulations, and sanitation standards at all times.

  • Understand and utilize the lugger system appropriately.

  • Properly use designated disposal containers, including gray and yellow rubber cans.

  • Support production line operations to meet production goals and schedules.

  • Assist with changeovers and sanitation activities as required.

  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety protocols.

  • Properly handle, use, and return scoops, cups, and other production utensils.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including keeping electrical panels and boxes clear of stored items.

  • Properly dispose of gloves, hairnets, smocks, and other materials in designated receptacles.

  • Report product quality concerns, equipment issues, safety hazards, or operational deviations to leadership.

  • Work on various production lines or assignments as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leaders and Production Leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)

  • Ability to communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to follow USDA, HACCP, GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements.

  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery and equipment.

  • Ability to stand, reach, bend, and remain active throughout the shift.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to travel throughout the production area as needed.

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to meeting production and quality expectations.

  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and report to workstations on time.

  • Flexibility to work overtime and support different production lines or assignments as business needs require.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery.

  • Exposure to hot, cold, refrigerated, and frozen products.

  • Moderate to loud noise levels.

  • Wet or slippery floor conditions may be present.

  • Requires constant awareness of surroundings and adherence to safe work practices.

  • Employees must never place any part of their body into moving machinery.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)

  • Previous food manufacturing, food production, or assembly line experience.

  • Experience working in USDA- or HACCP-regulated environments.

  • Familiarity with GMPs, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures.

  • Experience supporting changeovers, production startup activities, or line operations.

  • Understanding of ingredient handling and recipe-based manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality food products.

  • Understanding of the importance of individual contributions in manufacturing quality food products.

Compensation

Pay: $14.05/hour

Shift: AM Shift 7:20AM-4:00PM

Location: 200 Michael Angelo Way, Austin, TX 78728


Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
