Position: Material Handler - Forklift
Location: 10230 Pineville Distribution St, Pineville, NC 28134
Pay: $21.40/hour + $0.25/hour Shift Differential
Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: 2:15 PM - 10:15 PM

HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…
As a Material Handler - Forklift, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficient flow of materials throughout the warehouse. By safely receiving, storing, picking, transporting, and distributing products, you will help ensure inventory accuracy, support customer fulfillment, and contribute to a safe, organized, and productive operation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
- Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine material movement requirements.
- Receive, store, pick, transport, and distribute materials and products throughout the facility.
- Move materials from receiving and production areas to designated storage locations and work areas.
- Sort and organize materials on racks, shelves, and bins according to established storage procedures.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, and stock requests to support production and warehouse operations.
- Assemble customer orders and prepare products for shipment.
- Label materials and products with identifying information.
- Open bales, crates, containers, and incoming shipments as required.
- Record quantities of materials received, distributed, and stored.
- Count and weigh materials to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Safely operate forklifts and other manual and automated material handling equipment.
- Load and unload palletized and non-palletized products from trailers.
- Transport inventory throughout warehouse locations.
- Use computer systems to enter and maintain inventory, receiving, and shipping records.
- Take photographs of incoming and outgoing loads for documentation purposes.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas by removing trash and debris regularly.
- Store supplies in designated locations and keep aisles and exits clear of obstructions.
- Follow safe lifting and carrying procedures for products of varying sizes, shapes, and weights.
- Report workplace injuries, equipment concerns, and safety issues promptly.
- Work at elevated heights on material tanks when required.
- Inspect tank trailer seals and collect samples when applicable.
- Assist with cycle count inventories and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)
- High School Diploma or GED and/or one year of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to accurately receive, store, pick, move, and distribute materials and products.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to enter and maintain records electronically.
- Ability to read and understand production schedules, shipping documents, and work orders.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Ability to work overtime as required to meet operational demands.
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, drive equipment, and use hands throughout the shift.
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, and work at elevated heights.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
- Previous forklift certification and operating experience.
- At least one year of warehouse or distribution experience.
- Experience using Oracle or a similar Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse documentation.
- Experience loading and unloading trailers in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology and warehouse inventory systems.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and 5S methodologies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Temperatures are ambient and may fluctuate with seasonal weather conditions. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
