HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As a Packaging Material Handler, you will help keep production running efficiently by ensuring the right materials are delivered to the right place at the right time. Your focus on safety, accuracy, and organization supports our packaging operations and helps ensure finished products are ready to meet customer demand.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

• Read production schedules to determine materials that need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Weigh, count, and verify materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Visually inspect products and materials and move them between production and warehouse areas.
• Operate material handling equipment to transport materials and finished products throughout the packaging facility, as applicable.
• Remove waste materials and maintain waste tracking records within the packaging department.
• Inspect product loads for accuracy and safely transport materials throughout the facility.
• Move materials from receiving or production areas to storage or designated locations.
• Position lifting devices around pallets, skids, and boxes and secure loads for transport.
• Open bales, crates, and containers and prepare materials for use.
• Move portable equipment between storage and production areas.
• Load and unload materials manually or mechanically from pallets, skids, platforms, and transport vehicles.
• Operate or monitor automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards, including sweeping floors, retrieving pallets, disposing of recyclables, and performing light maintenance activities.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company food safety standards.
• Ensure proper pallet tagging and apply identifying information to materials and products.
• Support production operations by assisting with packing, sanitation activities, and other assigned projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work overtime as required to support production needs.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and inventory.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, GMPs, and quality standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Willingness to work overtime during the week and on weekends based on production needs.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods production.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Experience with inventory control, material movement, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with GMPs, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices.
• Experience supporting production and packaging operations in a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand continuously and walk frequently throughout the shift.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion activities.
• Frequent use of hands and hand dexterity.
• Occasional climbing and ladder use.
• Ability to lift and carry:
  • Up to 10 lbs. continuously
  • Up to 25 lbs. frequently
  • Up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Up to 100 lbs. frequently
  • More than 100 lbs. frequently (with appropriate equipment or team assistance as required)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Manufacturing and warehouse environment with moderate noise levels on the production floor.
• Office areas may have quieter conditions.
• Ambient temperatures that may vary based on seasonal weather conditions.
• Regular operation around material handling equipment, pallets, packaging materials, and production machinery.
• Requires adherence to established safety, food safety, and PPE requirements.

SCHEDULE

• Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM
• Overtime may be required based on business and production needs.
• Overtime opportunities may occur during the week and on weekends.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Starting pay: $18.60 per hour
• Full-time, hourly position.
• Eligible for company-sponsored benefits in accordance with plan and policy requirements.
